Find Out More about our many Website Design & Development Services:
Is your website working for you?
As valuable as it is, getting a new website is a complicated process. You want to come out knowing it truly is an investment and not just an expense.
You know your website will serve as a customer support center, accessible to your potential customers 24/7. And you probably already know that you can sell products or list properties and homes for sale on your website, and that an interested party can email you from your website to get more information.
But did you know your website can automatically post your new property listings to your facebook page? Or automatically create PDF fliers of your property listings for potential buyers to download? Or automatically email your leads when a new listing comes on the market that matches their needs? All without you lifting a finger.
These are the types of services that add real value to your website, returning your investment time and time again. We’ll work with you to determine your options. We offer most items a-la-carte, meaning you can add core functions when you are starting out, and upgrade or add more functions as your company grows.
A website can perform tasks based on your needs.
Let us know what you want your website to do for you.
Our Website Development Process
We have refined a well-oiled process. Go behind the scenes below.
1 – CONSULTATION
We always provide a free initial consultation via phone, email, chat/messenger, or in person if you are in the Outer Banks, NC area. We do this so we both can gain an understanding of your company’s website needs. We will help you determine the technical utilities you’ll need, and we can help you determine what you need now and what you can add on later.
2 - PROPOSAL
We’ll prepare a technical proposal with a timeline and cost estimate. We’ll explain the pros and cons of the options available, along with a price list for every line item, so you can see which items are adding the most cost to the project and determine what will give you the most bang for your buck.
3 - PROJECT INITIATION
We’ll send you an invoice for a 30% deposit and a contract stating the project scope, cost, and terms. Upon receipt of your deposit and signed contract, your website is put into our project queue.
4 - INFORMATION GATHERING
Next you’ll fill out our Website Planner Guide. We created the planner for our clients, because successful websites are built on strategy and planning, and an effective plan starts with quality information. We also complete our own process of research — of your company, clients, local and national competition, target market and more.
Now is also the time to start collecting materials for your website. This includes past materials like brochures, photos of your staff or place of business, catalogs, products photos and product information. We will provide you with a private link where you can easily drop content and files for us.
5 - SITE ARCHITECTURE and GRAPHICAL LAYOUT
We will create an outline detailing the site architecture, organizing everything into intuitive traffic patterns, funneling site visitors to your goal action of the site – to call you, give you their email, or to make a purchase, etc.
Next we develop graphic elements for the site such as color palettes, fonts, custom graphic images/buttons/headlines, photos and illustrations, etc. From this, we will create a preliminary implementation of the site design. We will send the proposed site design and layout for your input and review at this time. We’ll go back and forth with design changes until you love it.
6 - ADD CONTENT
We will next proceed to “put it all together”. Combining the graphic elements we’ve created with the text and images collected, we fill out the design and content of the website.
If you requested any special scripting (contact forms, feedback forms, databases, reservation systems, etc.) we will integrate the scripting into your website at this time.
7 - TESTING and DEBUGGING
We will check website load time, browser testing, resolution testing and the overall performance of your site. We will submit contact forms, purchase products, sign up for email lists, and perform any tasks your site visitors will perform. We will tweak any issues as needed.
8- "GOING LIVE!"
When you sign off on the project and pay any balance on the account, we’ll publish your site for the world to see!
9 - ONGOING HOSTING & MAINTENANCE
We will submit and verify your website to the major search engines. If we are hosting your website, we will also keep your website online 24/7 with 99+% uptime. We also make updates to WordPress and other plug-ins on your site quarterly and/or as requested and keep automated off-site backups of your website. We also fix any minor “issues” like like plug-in conflicts or incompatibilities that inevitably arise in the constantly changing technology landscape.
In other words, we will be there with you, for the long haul.
