The client liked the nautical feel of the upper logo here, but had a change of heart on the conch and opted for a sand dollar.
Project Description
This client wanted to go with a shell icon to represent the natural beauty of building a home in Carova, which is an off-road community in the northern Outer Banks. That’s right, there are no roads in the town, you must have a 4×4 vehicle to drive on the sand to your home. And at very high tide, no one’s going anywhere!
The client provided us with a hand illustrated sketch of a conch shell and a request for teal and dark gray colors. We showed them a variety of different shell options from abstract to technical to realistic, and eventually a few other shell types as well. As we sorted through the shells, they locked in on the sand dollar with a realistic illustrated feel.
The image on the left is the final proof sheet we provide for all logo designs along with the master files, print, vector and online files.
